3D Head

The TSUBAME 3D head was originally part of an integrated tripod head, but since the separate model became available, it has become a staple among 3-way heads. Over 60 years of continuous minor changes without changing the basic structure have resulted in a head of unparalleled perfection. While it sounds simple, smooth movement and precise stopping are rare. The minimal misalignment when tightening the screws after deciding on the composition also contributes greatly to ease of use. The current model's feel is unmatched, achieved through meticulous attention to materials, down to the last screw, and precision down to the 1/100th of a millimeter. 3-way heads, which allow for independent adjustment of up/down, left/right, and tilt, inevitably have to be somewhat large and heavy to ensure the necessary rigidity. Conversely, making them lighter, smaller, and more compact means that defects are bound to occur. However, for careful landscape or still life photography, many photographers say that a 3-way head is absolutely necessary, and this is the model they ultimately end up with.

4 Sec. Monopod

This monopod uses almost the same legs as the TSUBAME semi-short 4-section tripod. Its robust design eliminates unnecessary gimmicks and inherits the reliability of tripods honed over more than 60 years. Compared to other manufacturers' products, it is comparable in weight to not only carbon fiber monopods but also aluminum monopods. Like the tripod body, it comes standard with a shoulder strap, expanding its range of uses, including situations where a tripod cannot be set up or support for handheld shooting.
Rather than relying on cheap parts, we use the highest quality materials and thoroughly pursue precision machining. All parts, even the screws, are manufactured in Japan. Of course, assembly is also carried out in a Japanese factory under strict quality control. Furthermore, all parts are provided as replacement parts, so you can have your tripod overhauled at any time, restoring it to like-new performance, so you can use it with peace of mind.

*The dimensions and weight in the specifications table are calculated values using CAD and are roughly consistent with the actual measurements, but there may be slight individual differences.
*TSUBAME tripods are manufactured with the assumption that they will be used by professional photographers for 10 or 20 years at that frequency. For that reason, some parts are made with materials that prioritize durability, and when you first start using them, you may notice a stiffness in movement, or the legs may not lock in place properly, causing a slippery feeling. These issues will likely go away as the parts become more familiar with each other, so we hope you will enjoy using them for a long time.
It's only when each part has become familiar that it becomes a true TSUBAME. The words "for Professional" are not just for show.
